Three parts, one programme: in-person sessions delivered on your site, ongoing platform access to the video course and scenario library, and realistic practice scenarios where your people make the decisions that matter before they meet them on site.
A one-off session fades within weeks. This combines taught delivery, a platform your workforce keeps access to, and practice scenarios built around your own site, so awareness is refreshed and re-evidenced rather than expiring.
Andrew delivers each cohort himself: half a day, twelve learners, taught segments alternating with practice scenarios and group debrief.
Every learner keeps an account on the learning platform: the full video course, the scenario library, and refresher material they can return to whenever a task or a rule changes.
Realistic scenarios built around your site, so learners practise the call before they meet it.
Awareness training usually ends with a signature on a register. This ends with people who have already made the decision once, under pressure, and been shown what it cost.
The single behaviour that matters most. Learners practise raising a concern and halting work in a scenario where doing nothing has a visible consequence.
Prove dead, every time, with the right instrument and the right sequence, rehearsed until it feels automatic rather than optional.
What a permit does and does not authorise, where the boundary of the work sits, and what to do when the job in front of them isn't the job on the paper.
Each learner leaves with a certificate of completion and an assessed competency record. Attendance registers are replaced with something that stands up at audit.
Reading about a safe system of work isn't the same as holding the line when someone is leaning on you to get the job done. So learners practise it: realistic scenarios where they talk through the situation with a colleague, supervisor or contractor, identify the hazard, and decide whether to stop the job or proceed. The scenario responds to what they actually say.
Because the scenarios are written around your site rather than a generic one, nothing has to be mentally translated afterwards. And because they live on the platform, learners can come back and practise again long after the in-person session has finished.
Each session alternates short taught segments, practice scenarios and group debrief, so no block runs longer than the room's attention. Assessment is continuous rather than a test at the end.
Sessions run cohort by cohort until your workforce is covered, including contractors, and scenarios are tuned to the plant and permit regime your people actually work under.
Laptops, audio headsets and your site-tuned scenarios arrive with us. You provide a room with power and seating for twelve.
Twelve learners per half-day session, scheduled around shifts and shutdown windows. Contractors included.
Scenarios reflect your plant, permit paperwork and site rules, so nothing has to be mentally translated afterwards.
Certificates and competency records issued within two working days of each cohort.
Half-day, on-site training for your whole workforce, contractors included.
A review of your permit office and safe systems of work, with the gaps clearly set out.
A portable permit office for shutdowns, projects and sites without one.
Senior Authorised Person cover for your site when you need it.
For over two decades, I have been involved in safety-critical isolation and energisation work within high-risk industrial and electrical environments. My experience spans switching operations, electrical isolation, commissioning, system handovers, and first-time energisation of new installations. This course has been developed from lessons learned in the field, with realistic scenarios that reflect the pressures, hazards, and decision-making requirements of actual site operations, rather than purely theoretical examples.
I deliver every session personally. Nothing is subcontracted.
Tell us the site, the headcount and the timeframe. We'll come back with a cohort schedule, what we need from you, and a per-head cost.
